Another installment in the Murderbot series, another enjoyable romp in the mind of the most misgendered (or I suppose just gendered) character in the fucking world!! This is definitely more of a “filler” book meant to move a small part of the plot along. I saw recently that Wells doesn’t actually plan out this series and thinks it might end soonish without a resolution to The Company situation which would suck ass but hey until then I’m vibing.
Highlights: Murderbot’s new emotion check, Three interactions
Not so greats: miss my fave side characters, this book felt very similar to Exit Strategy in that it was a “remove humans from evil space station”.
Recommended for: those who have read the previous seven books in the series.
