What a journey, man! The story follows a kid called Demon from birth, up ’til somewhere in his 20s I think. Highs that seem so high because the lows are so treacherously low. I was pretty much constantly anxious, worried and rooting for Demon, but waiting for the other shoe to drop. But it’s not all doom and gloom, as I kind of expected it to be based on other summaries/reviews of the book. It’s honest and realistic. Not an easy read, hard to call it an enjoyable read either. But I did enjoy it and I would recommend it.
Sidenote: the audiobook is exceptionally well read!! I have a hard time staying focused with audiobooks so I generally avoid them, but this one is great!
