This is the final book in a series about a guy from modern Japan that gets accidentally magically kidnapped into an alternate magical reality when we gets caught in a spell to kidnap a girl to be the holy maiden of the other world. They can’t send him back and he’s such a workaholic that he’s like fuck it I want to work please. So they make him an accountant and over the course of the series he proceeds to solve a lot of bureaucratic issues purely by being good at his job. It’s generally a pretty funny series. I’m actually shocked that the story ended here, as the pacing of the last quarter of the book was really strange and the ending was breezed by very quickly. It’s actually pretty disappointing as the previous books were well-paced. The author afterword did mention some health issues, so perhaps that factors in. Solid read, but not the way I would’ve liked the series to wrap up .
