The third volume in the Anne of Green Gables series. This book covers Anne’s college years at Redmond College while also following the paths of her friends back home. Having read “Everything is Tuberculosis” last year, the chapter about a character dying from consumption definitely hit differently that in previous readings. Also, animal lovers beware of this volume- was stressful in parts for anyone who likes cats. The volume is also rather absurd in the number of marriage proposals packed into one volume for the same character- if I counted correctly it was six!
